Chad Miller

Associate

At the core of Chad’s passion for landscape is his desire to create immersive spaces that better connect people to places and to each other. Chad’s experience spans the fields of landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design, equipping him with a unique ability to think holistically about a project at nested scales from concept to detail. He believes that the best projects achieve a thoughtful synthesis between landscapes and buildings through close collaboration between various disciplines as well as clients and stakeholders. The result is landscapes that add value to their surroundings and to the public realm.

Chad received both a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia, where he was awarded the Sarah McArthur Nix Traveling Fellowship as well as several grant awards to support his Thesis research.

An advocate for urban living and civic engagement, Chad is active in his neighborhood as a member of committees related to land use and public space, as well as a community garden member. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
