We have tested our 30-year design convictions at a massive urban scale with the vast and complex Sports Boulevard Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are excited to share that we have reached a watershed moment as the first phase of this transformative 140-kilometer linear park and infrastructure project is under construction. At the same time, we are kicking off several other similarly complex urban projects around the world. Through collaborations with clients, architects, and engineers who share our commitment to listening to the earth and surrounding cultural context of our projects, we are continuing to meaningfully impact the world.

As we have stepped into 2023, Coen+Partners is continuing to transform. After six years of dedicated focus, Sara Czerwinski, our Managing Partner, is moving into the next chapter of her personal and professional career.

Sara’s energy and contribution has been monumental to the firm’s growth and success and has helped us establish a solid foundation that supports our company’s unique and bold vision for the future. She helped foster a culture marked by focused balance—both in terms of project excellence and sustainable business strategy. Her unique energy has also encouraged a culture that values wellness and personal growth as critical to the collective success of our work which will continue beyond her tenure. In her next chapter of life, Sara will bring her energy and passion for people to the forefront as she embarks on starting her own women’s coaching and empowerment practice.

Coen+Partners partner group is expanding to include McKenzie Wilhelm and Thomas Doyle—two incredible leaders and powerful landscape architects who share a deep passion for contextual, innovative design, as well as cultural and environmental stewardship. Thomas will continue to play a critical role in firm and project leadership, business strategy, and innovative thinking. McKenzie will continue to be a tireless proponent for design excellence, cultural and earth equity, and team collaboration across our portfolio of projects.

This new leadership team represents a wealth of multigenerational experience and expands Coen+Partner’s unique assembly of talents and perspectives. Our new partner group, alongside our talented and diverse team, uniquely positions us to impact global conversations about cultural and environmental empathy, context-driven design, and regeneration.

Through Coen+Partners’ evolution, we have always been blessed to have amazing team members who share our passion for the profession of landscape architecture and for working with our clients and collaborators every single day to positively impact people and our world.

This is the next step toward defining Coen+Partners as a firm of the future.
